We kept ourselves very busy throughout the summer with plenty of wine tasting for our new list… it’s a hard life! We think it’s really important for us to know where our wine is coming from and we were lucky enough to take a trip through Burgundy at the end of the summer to visit some of our producers!
Burgundy is one of France’s main wine producing areas and is well known for it’s red and white wines, made predominantly from Pinot noir and Chardonnay grapes. A relatively small area (45,000 hectares), Burgundy is full of family owned and run vineyards producing some of the best wines in the world. The stunning landscape and quiet towns we passed on our journey through Burgundy illustrated to us that despite producing some of the most expensive wines in the world, the area and its people are humble, hard-working and proud of their product… just like us!
