Why you should visit Morzine with the whole family

by 11 October, 2019

Located in the French Alps and part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine is the perfect destination to enjoy a family ski holiday with something for everyone. Although a large town, it also has a friendly village feel with traditional alpine charm.

Enjoying Morzine and the slopes as a family is a great way to spend quality time together. Read on to find out why a winter holiday is perfect for the whole family …

it’s fun for everyone

Holidaying with a family of different ages and requirements may take a bit of thinking about. Morzine offers something to please the little ones through to grandparents. Here’s how …

Infants and toddlers

Infants and toddlers need constant supervision, so in order to spend some time together as a couple or with other family members, finding a childcare service you can trust is an absolute must.

There are a few options to choose from when staying with Morgan Jupe. There is plenty of room to bring your own nanny along with you, or we can help organise a nanny to look after your child in the comfort of your chalet. If you think they’re ready for it then we can get your toddlers out on the slopes with skilled instructors who specialise in teaching little ones.

Let us know your plan upon booking and we will be more than happy to help assist!

the children

A family ski holiday is perfect for slightly older children. They love to play in the snow, go sledging, as well as learning how to ski. If your little ones can stand up on skis, we work alongside certified ski schools such as New Generation, The Snow Institute or Peak Snowsports who specialise in teaching children of this age.

Our apartments and chalets offer a range of games consoles and a Netflix account to relax on an evening. The chalets even have their own games room so you don’t need to worry about them getting ‘bored’ whilst the adults enjoy the evening to themselves … hey, they may well even want to join in on movie night!

teenagers

Teenagers and young adults may look for different ways to be entertained throughout their ski holiday. Some of the favourite non-skiing activities amongst our guests are; ice-skating, tobogganing and snowshoeing.

If you or the kids might fancy trading in skis for a snowboard for a couple of days, that’s no problem at all, just let us know and we can help get that organised!

the grownups

For the adults in the family, other than the slopes themselves, there is also the activities surrounding them. With Morzine’s excellent restaurants, bars, spas and fantastic apres ski, the possibilities are endless.

If you’re staying in one of our chalets, nothing beats simply kicking back in a cosy room, relaxing by the fire and absorbing the stunning mountain scenery. Did we mention you also have exclusive use of your own outdoor hot tub? And it gets better … One of our attentive hosts will make sure the drinks are topped up for you!

the grandparents

A family escape may also include grandma and grandad. Whether they’re into their skiing or simply prefer to potter around the resort, there is plenty on offer in Morzine. If they don’t ski and would like to watch the little ones, they can get a pedestrian pass up the mountain and enjoy the view with a nice warm drink. There is also the option for them to meet up with the rest of the family for lunch in Avoriaz (a well connected ski-in village).

We take pride in our comfortable chalets and on-call driving service which means makes getting around resort easy as pie. What’s more, delicious afternoon tea will be waiting for them on the table every day!

Going away on a family trip is all about creating memories you’ll never forget. By going on a family ski trip you can ensure that you all spend time together whilst enjoying whatever it is that suits you most on holiday.
