Located right in the centre of town is La Rotonde, a large restaurant with an eclectic menu offering everything from local Savoyard specialities to modern Asian cuisine. The outdoor dining space is beautifully presented, with a covered terrace and a sunny garden area. They are open every day for lunch and dinner service, or drinks inbetween.

If you’re heading up the mountain then Le Vaffieu is well worth a visit during the summer months. Easily accessible on foot from the top of the Pleney gondola, this traditional Savoyard restaurant has a stunning terrace which is just perfect for enjoying a nice long lunch and a bottle of something refreshing.

What’s more, our favourite family-friendly restaurants in Morzine are particularly easily accessible on foot from apartments Florimont #2 and Florimont #6 in Morzine.

One of the most family-friendly restaurants in Morzine is Le Colibri, a modern café bistro with a casual atmosphere and most importantly a kids corner with books and toys, including a play kitchen! Open for coffee, brunch, lunch and dinner every day of the week. The menu is varied and the service is very friendly.

Le Tremplin is another venue which has always been great for kids, especially during the summer months. The huge outdoor terrace at the base of the Pleney gondola has lots of different seating areas and a play area with a variety of outdoor games and toys. They are currently undergoing a huge renovation so we look forward to exploring the new space when they reopen in July 2024!

If you’re a pizza lover, Morzine has some fantastic options for you. From traditional Italian-style pizzas to unique gourmet creations, these pizza places are sure to satisfy your cravings. Whether you prefer a classic Margherita or a more adventurous flavor combination, you’ll find it all in Morzine.

One of our favorite pizza places in Morzine is L’Improviste, a cosy pizzeria/bistro serving authentic Neapolitan pizzas alongside a variety of pasta dishes and salads with a friendly atmosphere. It’s quite a small restaurant and it does get busy so we recommend  booking in advance. And if they don’t have space for you then you can always get a takeaway! 

Our friends at Morzine Eats (formerly Beanies) are now offering a delivery service across the whole of Morzine and their sourdough pizzas are definitely among the absolute best we’ve had! Perfect for a night in at your self-catered accommodation after a busy day exploring the mountains. 

Ultimate Summer Vibes

Morzine is the ultimate destination for a summer getaway, and its dining scene perfectly captures the laid-back and vibrant atmosphere of the season. 

One of the main highlights of summer in Morzine is undoubtedly Lake Montriond. You can easily spend a whole day up here enjoying the breathtaking scenery and getting involved in all of the activities on offer. Hotel du Lac is the perfect spot for a few drinks or a meal right next to the lake, with friendly staff, delicious cocktails and a weekly BBQ on the terrace. 

Ibex – The Wood Yard is a fantastic new venue in Montriond, accessible on foot from Apartment Sorbier and Apartment Marmotte. Enjoy delicious beers and yummy food on the sunny terrace, with great music, service and games for the kids!
